Ahmed Al-Jarallah, Editor-in-Chief for the Arab Times, asked the right questions in his September 29 column:FRANCE is known for making political miscalculations. Its stand on various issues are invariably based on emotions and prevailing circumstances, and when the situation goes out of control it overreacts.Confuse and multiple apologies, this was just the introductory pertinent observation. Here go the right questions:
France should be aware Moqtada al-Sadr, leader of the so-called Al-Mahdi Army is not a resistance fighter. He is quite obviously an agent of Iran and needs the support of a major power like France to gain political recognition for his gang so he can grab power in Iraq. But is it acceptable for France to give legitimacy to these gangs?Touché.
The French Foreign Minister's words are, to put it mildly, silly because they will heighten the morale of terrorists in Iraq. Let's consider this scenario: What would France say if the United States approved gangs of Moroccan and Algerian expatriates, who blackmailed, kidnapped and murdered others as "resistance." Would this give them the right to lead France and its people?
Does France know who these Iraqi resistance fighters are or whether they are Iraqis? Does it know how many of them are out there in Iraq or the names of such gangs? There are hundreds of groups who are operating under different names killing, slaughtering and kidnapping people for ransom. Can we call such thieves and killers as "resistance?"Coulé.
One has to admit that France doesn't have the slightest frigging idea of the situation in Iraq¹. That's what France gets from reading the French press.
1: Whence the media/political buffoonery as a consequence of the "incident" involving the two
Gee... And to think that you share some genes with these clowns. In conclusion, 1) Mother Nature is a bitch and 2) God! How would I hate God's sense of humor, if only I believed in God.
