DISCLAIMER: in my experience, the following doesn't apply to 99% of my readership. Unfortunately, experience also shows it has to be written down for the remaining 1%.

The short version, when it comes to my comments policy, goes down to a line taken from the (mediocre) second opus of the Matrix:

Let's elaborate a bit:

  1. Try to stay on topic. If you have a beef against the cow-fart(1) induced climate change and this post is about monkey spanking(2), then it's not the place to draw your sword(3).
    I have nothing against a freewheeling conversation, but if it's off-topic AND stupid or offensive, then it will have a badly limited lifespan.
  2. Consider the two following statements…
    • I'm totally open-minded when it comes to rational ideas.
    • It is quite obvious that Anti-Americanism, anti-Semitism, Islamism, Nationalism, Racism, Collectivism(4) and Multiculturalism (non-exhaustive list) exist in complete contradiction with Reason.
    … And guess the total amount of tolerance you can expect from me if you indulge in any of these.
  3. If you shall persist in these ways nevertheless, understand that I'm not spending countless hours of work on this site to "reach out", "debate" with you, "understand" your "root causes" or "learn" about your religion. Unlike race, ideology is something we choose, and for which we must bear all responsibilities. I loathe your sick mindset and what you defend and promote. I've heard all your pitiful excuses for your despicable totalitarian psyche and your compulsion to coerce or enslave your fellow men and women in the name of some "greater good".
    So understand that this is not a public forum: it is my outpost in the culture war you wage against me, my kin, my rights and my freedom — thus, you will only be tolerated here, and only if I decide so. I call the shots and I owe you nothing. As a matter of fact, I don't like having you around, so the only argument you're truly entitled to hear from me would come, if you insist, amplified through the barrel of my Sig-Sauer high powered rifle(5) — because when it comes to intolerant scumbags, I'm an intolerant bastard.

I also have a very limited patience for social-democrats of all race and creed, center-of-center jellyfish and buttermonkey(6) hybrids, Blame-America-First (and always) Libertarians (usually of the Rothbardian school), Hollywood idiots & Festival-de-Cannes cretins and those Parisians who fancy themselves as an elite when they are nothing but the developed world's rednecks(7). However, I tend to ignore them, so they may consider themselves lucky if they manage to draw some sarcasm in colorful language from me.
  5. Yeah, and don't get me started on journalists and the Wonderful World of Mainstream Media...
  6. American and British soldiers (including the Commonwealth) stand on a special pedestal in my personal pantheon. Disrespect them here, and you'll quickly wish you'd rather stand naked in Mecca during Hajj, wearing only a sign that reads "Muhammad was a pedophile".
  7. I may moderate, remove or edit anything and give neither excuses nor explanations. It has nothing to do with "censorship": I am not a State, you are not a coerced citizen of said State and so you are always free to express yourself on your own facility and by your own means. Commenting is not a right, it is a privilege I grant or take away, according to my right as the owner of this place.
  8. My site is not awfully biased: it's shamelessly opinioned. If you're on my side, you get my vote and are free to rant 'n' roll. If not, live with it or go rot in the gutter.
  9. Oh and, if you're a vegan, be advised that I hunt, kill, cook(8) and eat all sorts of animals, and thoroughly enjoy the whole lot of it. Have fun with your carrots, Doc.

Élaborons un brin :

  1. Il existe une subtile différence entre "être familier" et "traiter familièrement". Cela signifie que les culs-sales qui s'imaginent débarquer ici et me tutoyer comme si nous avions gardé les piquets de grève ensemble verront leur contribution à la conversation éradiquée sans autre forme de procès. Quelle que soit la pertinence de ladite contribution. Même si vous n'êtes Vraiment Pas Content® avec ce que j'écris, cela ne vous dispense pas de surveiller vos manières : tant que je n'ai pas été présenté à votre chère Maman, nous nous vouvoierons. Vu ?
  2. Évitez le hors-sujet. Si vous avez une rancune à l'égard de l'impact des pets de vache sur le changement climatique et que cet article traite de la fessée de macaque(1), alors ce n'est pas l'endroit d'où lancer votre croisade (2).
    Je n'ai rien contre une conversation à bâtons rompus, mais si c'est hors-sujet ET stupide ou insultant, ça aura une durée de vie salement limitée.
  3. Considérez les deux affirmations suivantes...
    • J'ai une ouverture d'esprit totale en ce qui concerne toutes idées rationnelles.
    • Il est évident qu' Anti-américanisme, anti-Sémitisme, Islamisme, Nationalisme, Racisme, Collectivisme(3) et Multiculturalisme (liste non-exhaustive) existent en complète contradiction avec la Raison.

J'ai entendu toutes vos pitoyables excuses pour votre détestable psyché de totalitaire et votre compulsion à forcer et réduire vos semblables en esclavage au nom d'un quelconque "intérêt général".
    Comprenez donc que ceci n'est pas un forum publique : c'est mon avant-poste dans la guerre culturelle que vous lancez contre moi, mes semblables, mes droits et ma liberté — vous ne serez que toléré ici, et seulement si je le décide.   8. Je peux modérer, supprimer ou éditer quoi que ce soit, sans fournir d'excuses ni d'explications. Cela n'a rien à voir avec de la “censure”, pour une raison très simple : je ne suis pas un État, vous n'êtes pas un citoyen opprimé dudit État et demeurez donc libre de vous exprimer sur votre propre support et par vos propres moyens. Commenter n'est pas un droit, c'est un privilège que j'accorde ou refuse selon mon droit de propriétaire des lieux.
  9. Mon site n'est pas affreusement partial, il est impudemment orienté. Si vous êtes de mon côté, vous avez mon aval et êtes libre de disserter à l'envi. Sinon, faites avec ou allez crever dans le caniveau.

There was another AFP piece from the earlier days in Afghanistan. Some of the high muckety mucks of Al Kayduh were gathering in this old guy’s house for a nice, sit down type, dinner. They were his guests. He was hosting them.

Well, it seems the house got all blowed up. Nasty evil Americans did it. As proof, the old man was photographed standing in the hole that used to be his house. Standing up beside him was the proof positive that it was the evil Americans that blew up his innocent house. That evidence was an old USSR 152 mm artillery bullet. It was caked in mud, like it had been buried for some time, and still had the lifting ring screwed into the fuse well.

Of course, according to the AFP tard, the man was completely innocent and had nothing to do with Al Kayduh. He was just a nice man that invited the leadership of Al duh over for dinner.

My problem with the picture is, if those rounds were fired at her home would they be in the condition they are in?  I mean everytime I fire my .308 the round doesn’t stay pristine, if you know what I mean!

A really great video - as noted by others earlier I certainly hope we see more of them.  Very professionally done, including the blooper reel at the end.  Perhaps some suggestions on other instructional topcis:

And how the hell did you get to watching Chiaya Chaiya, eh? Superb song-- never thought one could use it so effectively as a background to weapons instruction!! Lefty: thanks for posting this compliment in a (globally) civil way, despite your self-professed dodgy political beliefs that — no argument here — certainly conflict with mine. I’m glad you enjoyed my stunt, and I’m sure we can both agree to disagree on the rest. Politely it seems - and that certainly makes you stand out when one considers the manners usually displayed by the crowd on your side of the political spectrum.

I’m always amazed however by the distinction people on your side seem to make: you hate war (I quote) and thus imply that I, somehow,love it simply because I support it. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

If you allow me to risk the guess that you are a US citizen, and have been so by birth, then I’d say I probably hate war even more than you can possibly do: after all, being native French and the grand-child of native Frenchmen, I’ll remind you that we’ve seen - and lived - the ravages of war at home (and not thousands of miles away from our homes) less than two generations ago. In fact, the last one was particularly ugly, since it managed to combine a “regular” war with the occupation by a foreign army, and a civil war that tore down French society up to this day between collaborators and resistants (and their descendants).

Incidentally, I’d like to point out that all the warmongers who managed to set my native continent ablaze all over the 20th century (setting up concentration & death camps, political polices and so on) were “committed lefties” of one collectivist brand or another. I hope you can take that fact in consideration if you ever fancy understanding why I came to hold “dodgy political beliefs"… and why I consider yours the same (worse in fact, if I may say so).

The only difference between your hostility to war and mine however is that I know that war can be a solution sometimes. Please note that I’m not saying “I think”, “I guess” or “Well, I suppose war could be a solution, etc.”

I know that. For a fact.

And I can assure you that despite their reflexive anti-American posturing, and their outrageous display of phony pacifism in the run up to the second Iraq war, most of the French wouldn’t deny it either.

At least none of those who can remember (or imagine) the sound of German troops patrolling the streets of their towns and villages at night.

 

Almost forgot: as for my musical choices, and your surprise, well… I’ll just say that I frequently do not live up to many people’s stereotypes (I’m not trying to be a smart ass here, that’s just a fact I’ve observed time and again). In that occurrence, I understand that a gun-toting right-wing warmongering French redneck that happens to have a certain Bollywood culture might come as a shock to you. I’ll sincerely hope however that this will help you realize that just because I’m fiercely in favor of defending Western civilization and personally kill some of the meat I eat doesn’t mean you can necessarily deduce I have brown people’s babies for breakfast and advocate ethnic cleansing at lunchtime.

A link to this video was posted on SIGforum.com and it proved to be my introduction to the Dissident Frogman. I’d ramble on and on about how great this place is, but 1) I’ve barely scratched the surface here, and 2) I should be commenting on the video!

So......outstanding video! Not only did it have a SIG-Sauer in it, not only did it lampoon the AFP (and news media in general), but that was some of the best physical comedy I’ve seen in ages!!! Great stuff!

I loved your video course on the composition, and use of the cartridge for the French media wonks. Could you do another video for Hillary Clinton on say.... ethics, values, honesty ... any of those will make  a good video for her. She’s sure to watch since it will be something very new for her.  If you’re up for a huge video project, how about an instructional video on getting your facts straight for Al Gore.

After the Dan Rather/Mary Mapes disinformation scandal, I am still amazed (although, perhaps I shouldn’t be) that the media are so arrogant that they feel they can make up whatever they like and no-one will question the veracity of the story. So much so that they include a captioned illustration that so obviously contradicts what has been reported as "fact".

P.S. - I know that there are quite a few more media disinformation scandals I could use as an example, but the Rather/Mapes scandal is my personal favorite. To put it in a way that Rather would understand: Post-report interviews of Danny -boy showed him lookin’ about as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rockin’chairs! I Wouldn’t mind seeing images of those two Mickey-ized and slapped on a t-shirt!

P.P.S. - Fan-freakin-tastic video, DF! You even included the bloopers! Love it!
