DISCLAIMER: in my experience, the following doesn't apply to 99% of my readership. Unfortunately, experience also shows it has to be written down for the remaining 1%.

The short version, when it comes to my comments policy, goes down to a line taken from the (mediocre) second opus of the Matrix:

"I built this place. Down here, I make the rules."

Let's elaborate a bit:

  1. Try to stay on topic. If you have a beef against the cow-fart(1) induced climate change and this post is about monkey spanking(2), then it's not the place to draw your sword(3).
I have nothing against a freewheeling conversation, but if it's off-topic AND stupid or offensive, then it will have a badly limited lifespan.
  2. Consider the two following statements…
    • I'm totally open-minded when it comes to rational ideas.
    • It is quite obvious that Anti-Americanism, anti-Semitism, Islamism, Nationalism, Racism, Collectivism(4) and Multiculturalism (non-exhaustive list) exist in complete contradiction with Reason.
… And guess the total amount of tolerance you can expect from me if you indulge in any of these.
  3. If you shall persist in these ways nevertheless, understand that I'm not spending countless hours of work on this site to "reach out", "debate" with you, "understand" your "root causes" or "learn" about your religion. Unlike race, ideology is something we choose, and for which we must bear all responsibilities. I loathe your sick mindset and what you defend and promote. I've heard all your pitiful excuses for your despicable totalitarian psyche and your compulsion to coerce or enslave your fellow men and women in the name of some "greater good".
So understand that this is not a public forum: it is my outpost in the culture war you wage against me, my kin, my rights and my freedom — thus, you will only be tolerated here, and only if I decide so. I call the shots and I owe you nothing. As a matter of fact, I don't like having you around, so the only argument you're truly entitled to hear from me would come, if you insist, amplified through the barrel of my Sig-Sauer high powered rifle(5) — because when it comes to intolerant scumbags, I'm an intolerant bastard.
So keep your distances, and nobody gets hurt.
  4. I also have a very limited patience for social-democrats of all race and creed, center-of-center jellyfish and buttermonkey(6) hybrids, Blame-America-First (and always) Libertarians (usually of the Rothbardian school), Hollywood idiots & Festival-de-Cannes cretins and those Parisians who fancy themselves as an elite when they are nothing but the developed world's rednecks(7). However, I tend to ignore them, so they may consider themselves lucky if they manage to draw some sarcasm in colorful language from me.
  5. Yeah, and don't get me started on journalists and the Wonderful World of Mainstream Media...
  6. American and British soldiers (including the Commonwealth) stand on a special pedestal in my personal pantheon. Disrespect them here, and you'll quickly wish you'd rather stand naked in Mecca during Hajj, wearing only a sign that reads "Muhammad was a pedophile".
  7. I may moderate, remove or edit anything and give neither excuses nor explanations. It has nothing to do with "censorship": I am not a State, you are not a coerced citizen of said State and so you are always free to express yourself on your own facility and by your own means. Commenting is not a right, it is a privilege I grant or take away, according to my right as the owner of this place.
  8. My site is not awfully biased: it's shamelessly opinioned. If you're on my side, you get my vote and are free to rant 'n' roll. If not, live with it or go rot in the gutter.
  9. Oh and, if you're a vegan, be advised that I hunt, kill, cook(8) and eat all sorts of animals, and thoroughly enjoy the whole lot of it. Have fun with your carrots, Doc.
  1. Ha ha. Beef. Cow. Geddit?
  2. It's been known to happen.
  3. Neither is the guestbook by the way.
  4. That includes of course all its variations: Socialism, National-Socialist, Communism, Fascism, etc.
  5. With a loud 'Bang'
  6. Nope, don't know what species is that either, but it does sound like a particularly vile creature, doesn't it?
  7. Tell me London, New-York, Sydney or Tokyo, but Paris is a dump.
  8. Frequently in some sort of wine sauce or with loads of tears-pulling spices. Grapes and pepper count as veggie stuff right?

Help

  1. As an additional layer of defense against comment spamming and surf-by shooting, I enacted a set of restrictions on how you can post a comment as a simple guest on my site (i.e. either when you're not registered as a member, or registered but not logged in), starting with pre-publishing comment approval. As approving comments will take a certain — and variable — amount of time, I invite you to check-in if you're serious about joigning the conversation in real time.
  2. Non-authenticated users are also limited to the following HTML tags:
    • Bold (<strong></strong>)
    • Italic (<em></em>)
    • Underline (<u></u>)
    • Quote (<blockquote></blockquote>)
Don't bother entering any other tags, as they will automagically get stripped on posting.
  3. Members have access to a greater range of tags and publishing tools, and they can also choose to be informed by email of follow-up comments, for any given thread.
  4. Members also have an easier and more straightforward posting process. Some of the system defenses are lowered for them, and the details fields (name, etc.) are pre-filled with the information they entered in their profile.
  5. Members have a greater chance to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, while it will be assumed that, in addition to an opinion, strangers have stinky feet and greasy fingers. They may therefore be regarded with great condescension by regular members and the dissident frogman alike, and derided accordingly. So wash your feet, your hands, and register.
  6. A reminder: you decide what you write, no matter how brilliant or stupid it might be, and the fact that I let it go published doesn't mean I condone, agree or disagree with it—no matter if I answer it or not. Hey, you're supposed to be a responsible adult, right?

If you need further help with the site, you may want to check the Field Manual. Ultimately, you can also drop me a line. I usually don't answer jellyfish and buttermonkey(1) hybrids however.

  1. Nope, don't know what species is that either, but it does sound like a particularly vile creature, doesn't it?

Last year, I read an article outlining a roundtable discussion on the islamization of Europe.  Although I cannot find it, I think Mark Steyn, author of America Alone, and possibly Daniel Pipes participated.  The short version was that muslims have settled in Europe in large numbers and have become citizens.  European social attitudes - birth control, abortion on demand, decline of religion - have placed ethnic Europeans in population decline.  muslims, on the other hand, have refused to assimilate and had encouraged large families.  France, 20% muslim today, will have a majority muslim population by 2050. [These numbers may not be exact.]

The panel ended the dialogue with three potential outcomes:  muslim assimilation, European submission to islam or genocide.

No one seriously believed the muslim populations would adopt western culture and become just another religious group.  Everywhere they settle, they demand special treatment.  They want their own schools.  They demand local resolution of differences under de facto islamic law.  They want foot baths, 5 breaks per day, special prayer rooms, muslim diet and other concessions.  The West is being conditioned by muslims that we should make them a special case.  While they feel free to criticize our societies, governments, schools and religions, theirs are off limits.  They intend to remain separate and unequal.  We are left with descent into dhimmitude or violent confrontation.

The panel has written off Great Britain but not France.  While the British were once proud of their traditions, culture and heritage, they seem to have sunk into passive hyper-sensitivity and smothering political correctness.  The French, however, are pushing back.  No head scarves in schools.  While the recent violence has not been met with appropriate counter force, it will be.  Ironically, the battle of Eurorabia can be won peacefully, and in a most pleasant way - have more European babies.  It is every man’s and every woman’s patriotic duty!  If you lose, prepare to set your clocks back 1200 years.

If the muslims continue on their path towards intimidation and violent confrontations, they will ultimately lose.  The right wing parties are on the upswing all over Europe.  muslim threats will encourage a turn to the right.  Major push back is inevitable and it would be difficult to stop.  Riots met by armed citizens would spiral out of control.  Authorities, unable to control muslim minorities would have no chance against a majority reaction.  A scenario suggested by the panelists was an American military evacuation of muslim refugees from an enraged Europe.  [I hope we are not that stupid.]

I feel sure that if the story proves to be true then the crime will have been committed by a Christian who was outraged by the cartoons of Muhammad.

The reason I said if  the story proves to be true is that it’s not impossible that the story was planted to show how terrible and swift revenge was extracted upon someone who offended the "peaceful" Muslims.  Let future offenders be warned.

That all depends on who is in the White House at the time, and who controls Congress at the time. The left is downplaying the importance of this issue just now, which is scarey in itself. We have to have leadership that is not afraid to take the right actions for the good of the country - not for the political prestige or the sake of favorable world opinion.

I would strongly suggest that anyone that wants to learn more about this issue read the article at this address, as well as go to the links embedded in that article:

www.faithfreedom.org/Articles/Desai/islamization_of_the_world.htm

Personally, I think it should be required reading for every member of Congress.

As a Dane I can asure you that story is complete and utter bogus! If something like that happened it would all over the front pages for weeks.

I kind of agree with Too Tall. Sounds like a little test to see if it can’t stirr things up a little down there. Especially comebined with this little tidbit from the article:

The decision (almost spontaneously) to boycott all Danish products weighed heavily on them. The kingdom ran straight into bankruptcy. The crisis then faded gradually, having lasted nearly six months. But now that this new event is likely to bring it back.

More ignorance and blatant lies. The Danish economy is one of the strongest in Europe before, during, and after the crisis. In fact, the crisis benefitted the economy as people over the world suddently heard the name "Denmark" most of them probably for the fisrt time in their lives and started bying product labeled "Made in Denmark."

The article is saying: Go out and rage and burn, protesting the infidels works!

The Algerian goverment must be under pressure.

Arch: I’ve read Mark Steyn’s America Alone. His wit as a writer does little to cover the bleak conclusions he draws!

Will Europe slumber until it is too late? WIll the world?

We are in need of a little optimism!

If it is a bad thing that can not be tied directly to POTUS Bush, Vice Pres Cheney or Haliburton, then it must be false.

It is a very easy rule. I don’t understand how folk can keep getting confused.

Sounds like the lady/victim is only another Buddist Monk. You know how those Buddist Monks are...always bar-b-queing themselves...and then blaming the government for their ills.

Sincerely,

P.S. VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON!

I found these two articles and they appear to be about the same incident:

Woman tortured for 9 days

12/11/2007 21:06 - (SA)

Copenhagen - A 19-year-old Danish woman was held captive by her abusive boyfriend in a shed in Copenhagen for nine days where she was beaten and burned until escaping at the weekend, police said on Monday.

"I’ve rarely seen such abuse and violence," police investigator Henrik Svindt told Danish television TV2 News.

"She was burned with cigarettes and beaten with a whip. Her assailant drenched her in perfume before setting her on fire and beat her so violently that she lost some teeth and part of her thumb.

"Some of her hair was cut off and burned by the man, who poured hot water over her legs."

Her 19-year-old boyfriend, whose name was not disclosed for legal reasons, has been arrested.

The young woman fled her tormentor on Sunday and called her parents, who alerted police. She has been admitted to hospital.

The woman had been abused by her boyfriend for more than a year, and the violence culminated in the past three months, she told investigators.

Her boyfriend had threatened to kill members of her family if she revealed the abuse to them or the police.

DENMARK: Muslim Tortures Woman For "Being Christian"

A 19 year old woman managed Sunday evening to escape from her torturer, a Danish citizen of Lebanese background.

She had been held captive for 9 days in a shed in the Sydhavnen district of Copenhagen where she had been beaten with an electric cable and subjected to other acts of violence by her boyfriend, a 19 year old Danish citizen from Lebanon. Sunday afternoon she managed to break out of her prison, climbed a fence and broke into a store, where she found a telephone and called her family.

The woman is now in hospital with extensive body damages. She had received almost nothing to eat and drink during the nine days. She has bruises from the beating and burns from cigarettes and from molten plastic that has been dripped onto her body. Her front teeth are knocked out, she has bleedings in both eyes, she has stab wounds all over her body and possibly a broken mandible. Part of her hair is burned away and her finger and toe nails are damaged, probably caused by pliers according to the police. A piece of her right thumb is missing.

She has extensive burn lesions on her legs from previous episodes of violence. The burns are caused by boiling water according to her own statement.

The violence has taken place over a period of one year, but has escalated drastically during the last month, according to the girl. The man threatened to kill her family if she reported him. Also, he has forbidden her to speak to her mother, because she is a Christian.

She is now under police protection, from fear that the family of the young man will try to harm her.

If these are true, there is a definite course of action to be taken. After the obligatory nine day session of an "eye for an eye", we can move on to: PERP, ROPE, TREE. (Some assembly required)
