I wonder if somewhere in France there might be a group of university students who operate a website compatible with yours: democratic, libertarian, anti-totalitarian, and (is it possible?) pro-American.
The reason I ask is that a group of fine young Americans at Oxford, who run an excellent site called Oxblog, have begun to organize a movement called The Oxford Democracy Forum:

They already have a number of affiliates, mostly in the USA, but including the courageous young fighters for democracy, the Student Movement Coordination Center for Democracy in Iran. It is important that they find some friendly voices in France. This business of cheese-eating surrender monkeys has become a sickness. The typical "thinking" American is unaware of the existence of great figures from the past, such as Raymond Aron. Voices of the present such as J-F Revel, André Glucksmann, Alain Finkielkraut and others are unheard. We need an antidote to the cheese-eating toxin.
Please help if you can.

Well my dear John, I'm afraid the typical "thinking" French is not aware of Raymond Aron either.
Some of them do know about Sartre tho. And that's precisely the problem I guess.
As for the present voices, Bourdieu is dead but the Bourdivins and a bunch of other various impostors are whooping so loud that the fellows you mentioned are indeed, unheard.
Anyway, the message is duly posted and relayed.
I'm just a tad too old now and I've never been part of - or introduced to - the French universities (dig that) but I know for a fact that there are some people coming here who actually are.
I cordially invite them to get in touch with me and I will forward their mails to John.
They can also jump directly to
www.oxdem.org and see what can be done.
Although I'm not very optimist when it comes to the orientation of French universities, I won't make any assumptions considering what I've just told you about my (lack of) knowledge of this environment.
That being said, I hope my pessimism will be irrevocably contradicted by a significant mobilization of the French students in favor of democracy and freedom, alongside their American, British and Iranian counterparts.

Je suis juste un poil trop vieux maintenant et je n'ai jamais fait partie, et n'ai jamais été introduit dans le milieu des universités françaises (creusez ça) mais je tiens pour acquis que certaines personnes qui visitent ce site le sont.
Je les invite donc cordialement à entrer en contact avec moi et je ferai suivre leurs mails à John. Ils peuvent aussi se rendre directement sur

Bien que je ne sois pas très optimiste quand à l'orientation des universités de ce pays, je ne formulerais aucun a priori, considérant ce que je viens juste de révéler sur mon manque de connaissances de ce milieu.
Cela étant, j'espère que mon pessimisme sera irrévocablement contredit par un mobilisation significative d'étudiants français en faveur de la démocratie et de la liberté aux côtés de leurs homologues américains, britanniques et iraniens.
